Boshart 4-1/2" x 20" Spun Polypropylene Sediment Filter — 5 Micron (14-GSP2-05)
A 5-micron spun polypropylene cartridge for whole-house and point-of-entry filtration. It removes dirt, sand, silt, rust, and other sediment down to 5 microns.
The cartridge is made with melt-blown polypropylene in layers, with a looser outer layer and a tighter core. Larger particles get caught on the outside and finer ones toward the center. This lets the filter hold more dirt before it clogs, so it lasts longer and causes less pressure drop than a basic single-density filter.
It's made from 100% polypropylene with no surfactants, binders, or adhesives added, so it won't leach into your water and holds up well against most chemicals. The 4-1/2" x 20" size fits standard "big blue" housings used in higher-flow homes and small commercial setups.
